It has been about three months since my last post and Malaysia covid cases has reached the highest in Asean and surpassing India in the number of confirmed case per capita basis. Malaysia has gone from hero to zero. The reasons for failure to contain the virus are half baked lockdown where some sectors like factories are allowed to operate as usual, restaurants and stalls are opened for takeaways and the government keep moving goalposts on policies such as quarantine period for foreigners and locals from 14 days to 7 days when they cross the borders. People are allowed to work in confined space for a long period during lockdown and this resulting many clusters at works. Our daily death tolls are high too. We have been experiencing endless 'total lockdown' and 'partial lockdown' since last year. It is taking a toll on everyone emotionally, mentally and financially. We have celebrated Eid in lockdown for two consecutive years and this year is even worse than last year when visiting or ziarah family, relatives and friends are not allowed during Eid. Our vaccination rollout is also slow compared to other countries and it will take some time before we can reach herd immunity. There were Brexit and Megxit in Britain and I am looking forward to PNexit in Malaysia and fresh election for a new government.
The problem in Malaysia is we have no law of controlling party hopping. For example an MP from a previous government who held ministry position is still a minister in new elected government instead of becoming an opposition after he or she switches party. They switch party like a game in musical chairs, like the saying there is no permanent foes or friends in politic but permanent interests but the loss is for the 'rakyat'. Malaysia really needs for party hopping law to be implemented to thrive and prosper.
Talking about politic and covid make me feel stressed. I want to share some photos I have taken using iPhone 6. Although is not the latest version but one thing for sure using iPhone to take picture really make you look like a professional and not much effort needed compared when you are using SLR camera . I want to share some photos of Taman Tasik Shah Alam and picturesque view of Kuala Lumpur cityline which I took from a LRT train ride from Asia Jaya to Kuala Lumpur. I have always liked to use Apple products.I have to admit that I am big Apple fan. I had my computer Performa when I was student and my niece has gifted me her Apple Notebook 5 to me. I have been using Ipad 2 for the past 10 years and it is still working even after my kids have dropped it on the floor numerous time. I know that nothing much you can do with Ipad 2 and it is not compatible with many apps these days but I still can watch Youtube and using Quran Majeed apps. I am not complaining.
Covids is going to stay with us for a long time and we have to learn to live with the virus like a flu. To all readers out there take care of yourself, wear you mask and keep your social distancing and get yourself and family vaccinated.. Life is short.
